A new beginning- Chapter 5 Shock Part 3

That night, both Anne and Jaejoong had the weirdest dream. Anne was stranded on an island far away from civilization with only a luggage containing a few clothes, sleeping bag, handphones, make-up, lighter and matches and also a pocket knife. On that island, she also met Jaejoong whom was sharing the same dream with her. “Why are you doing here, Jae? You’re not supposed to be here.” Anne looked shock and left him. Jaejoong quickly grabbed her right arm and stopped her. “Listen to me, Anne. I know it’s weird but I should be telling you the same thing. Why are you in my dream?” Jaejoong asked. “ What you are trying to say that we are having the same dream? It can’t be right?” Anne said while looking for a place to stay out of the sun. Then, she spotted a big tree near the coconut trees. “Come on, let’s find shelter first and then talk okay?” She said and led them to the tree. It was big and shady. A perfect place to settle down and rest for awhile. “Okay, now let’s talk. I guess we’re stuck together until one of us wakes up right?” Anne laid out her sleeping bag and sat down. She pointed to the other end of the sleeping bag so that Jaejoong could sit down too. They were face to face with each other. “ Yup, I guess so. Let’s divide our tasks before nightfall comes.”Jaejoong discussed the plans with her. She agreed and started to do her chores without hesitation.
Jaejoong missed her so much. Seeing her like this was a miracle to him. Although it was just a dream, he would treasure every moment with her. Jaejoong was in charged of finding the firewoods and some food while Anne was in charged of finding water and cooking whatever Jaejoong could find on the island. He brought along his pocket knife and survival kit and other stuff in his back- pack. Both of them went into the jungle and found a small stream. They followed the stream until they came to a waterfall. They could feel the fresh air and cool breeze as the water came rushing down between the rocks. Anne quickly filled in their drinking water and dipped her legs in the water. It was such a cool feeling. Jaejoong left her to find some branches to make firewood and found fruit trees like bananas and berries. He stuffed them into a plastic bag and walked back to the waterfall. He noticed that Anne’s clothes and the bottles were on the big rock but she was not there. “Anne, where are you?” Jaejoong shouted her name a couple of times but there was no answer. He became worried and started to look for her. Suddenly, he saw her hair floating under the big rock. He took off his clothes and jumped into the water. Anne, who was enjoying the cool water startled and turned around to see what was making the noise. Both of them were shock to see each other half naked in the water. “ Oh my, you scared me Jae. I thought it was a wild beast.” Anne said calmly when she knew it was Jaejoong. “ I’m so sorry, Anne. I thought you were lost. That’s why I was looking for you.” Jaejoong swam closer to her. “ Thanks for
your concern, Jae.” Anne tried not look shock and swam away from him. He quickly grabbed her left arm and hugged her from behind. She could feel his warm body lingering her and her heart started to beat fast.
“Anne, I’m so sorry for being stupid and left without saying goodbye. I had to leave you because of the management. I know you will never believe me but it’s the truth and nothing but the truth.” Jaejoong whispered to her right ear. “ I forgave you a long time ago, Jae. Maybe we’re not meant to be together. God had given us this opportunity to see each other although it is rather weird but still I’m thankful that He had given us this chance.” Anne said softly and her tears started to fall non- stop. “ Yes, I’m thankful too. I won’t forget the times we spent together although it was just for a short while. I promise you that I won’t be in your way if you have someone new. I will pray for your happiness, Anne.” Jaejoong said and turned her around to face him. He kissed her forehead and her red rosy cheeks. Anne hugged him tightly and suddenly everything became blurred. She opened her eyes and saw her ceiling. It was just a dream but it felt so real. ‘Was I dreaming?’ She asked herself and pinched her left arm. ‘Ouch!’ She said to herself. Then, she felt into a deep sleep again. Back at Jaejoong’s hotel room, he got up and looked around. ‘It was just a dream…’ He told himself and went back to sleep.
Next morning, Anne woke up feeling fresh like she had just gone for a spa. She’d still remember her dream but it felt so real. She was wondering whether Jaejoong had the same dream too. Then, her cellphone rang. It was Junhyung. “ Morning, Anne.” Junhyung said while he was on his way to Cube Entertainment. All the Beast members were there with him. “Hi, Anne!!” They shouted merrily on the phone. Anne laughed and told Junhyung something. “Guys, Anne says hi to you too.” Junhyung smiled and continued talking to her. “Do you remember to reserve you next holiday for me? I’ve got good news to tell you.” “ Yeah, of course I did. What is the good news? Tell me, Junhyung.” Anne exclaimed. “Well, I want to invite you to join our tour concert in Japan.” He said happily. “ You mean, I could join you in the tour concert? Wow! This is very exciting. I’m very honored to join you, Junhyung. It will my pleasure. I can’t wait to tell the kids the good news.” Anne said and put it on loud speaker so that Junhyung could hear her telling Kimi and Mira about their trip. The kids were making so much noise now. “Sorry about that. They are over excited to go.” Anne apologized. “ It’s okay, I’m so happy that you are coming along with me. I can’t tell you how happy I am that you agreed. Thank you so much, Anne.” Junhyung told her. It was a dream came true for Junhyung and Anne as well. Now, all they have to do is wait for that day to arrive.

Meanwhile, somewhere in another part of the world, Jaejoong was sitting alone in his hotel room thinking about someone. He pictured all the things they did together for the past few days before they got separated because of his fault. He knew that it was impossible to getting her back. The day that he had promised Anne to come back to Tokyo was the day he had to forget about her and moved on. When TVXQ arrived back to Seoul after their visit to Tokyo, their manager called them up and had an urgent meeting. It was then Jaejoong had to make a decision that only he could make. “ Jaejoong sshi, I have something important that I want to discuss with you before you go back. I heard that you are dating someone right now and that she lives in Tokyo. Our management had ordered me to restrict all of you from having intimate affairs and it is one of rules you need to abide. I’m so sorry to have to tell you this, Jaejoong sshi. It’s my duty to take care of you guys as well as reminding you not to break the agreement. I really hope you understand and reconsider your actions.” His manager patted on his shoulder and left him thinking about the matter.
It’s been a week since they had their last meeting before their Asia Tour concert. Apart from their hectic schedules, Jaejoong had to gulp every bit of the bitterness he had in him so that the others would not notice him. He knew he had to make up his mind soon before the tour starts or it will affect him severely. “Is there anything bothering you, Jaejoongie? You seemed to be preoccupied with something. I wonder if it was about Anne. We haven’t heard from Anne since we got back to Seoul. You usually call her every two hours.” Yunho asked sitting next to him after their practice at their studio. “ Nope, everything is not right and I don’t know what else am I supposed to do but to leave Anne for good.” Jaejoong burst out as his body was trembling when he tried to hold back his tears. Yunho was shocked and speechless. He could not bear to watch his best buddy in pain although he knew that the management had found out about this matter. “Jaejoongie, I know your decision had made you an ignorant man in Anne’s eyes by now but I know deep inside your heart, you still love her. So, don’t lose faith in God. If she is the one for you, you will be reunited. If not, you have to accept what God’s will. I, as a friend, brother and a leader to you especially will not leave your side no matter what.” Yunho comforted Jaejoong and they headed to a nearby deobokgi stall to eat and drink.
Jaejoong understood perfectly what Yunho said just now. He had made a final decision and that was to let Anne go for good. Not because he didn’t love her, but the complicated situation he had to go through in order to be a star. Sacrifices have to be made and he had made that sacrifice for the sake of Anne and himself too. Although deep down inside his heart, he could never forget Anne and her children for as long as he lives. The following week, he tried his very best to ignore Anne’s phone calls and texts. He knew that his actions hurt her but that was the only way he could let her go by making himself looked bad. He also knew that time will heal her wounds and give her another chance to love another man. When TVXQ performed in Japan, he did look for her but from a distance. He watched her pale face trying her best to conceal her broken heart from her children. He had made her cry once again and this time he had no power to comfort her as her boyfriend. This time it is for real.
“Jaejoongie, what are you doing alone? You should be out having fun with the guys. Don’t tell me you’re still thinking about her.” Yunho startled Jaejoong from his thoughts. “ Nope, just thinking about writing a new song, that’s all.” Jaejoong laughed and stared back at the blank sheet on the screen of his laptop. “ Don’t try to fool me, Jaejoongie. I know you’re not over her yet. Come on, let’s go. I don’t want the guys to keep on waiting for you.” Yunho dragged him up from his chair and out of his room. They quickly went downstairs to the lounge where Changmin, Junsu and Yoochun were waiting for them. They did have a couple of drinks before going to bed. Unfortunately, Jaejoong didn’t really into drinking since he met Anne. He just watched the others had fun singing and dancing. Then, he went to bed.
